Hi all,

Recently invested in some arm rest covers as mine are looking considerably tatty.

I can't for the life of me see how I can fit them though. I expected the ones that are fitted to simply come off but they dont. There is one large pop-off cover on the side that I believe removes the whole arm rest, and two screws beneath the arm rest, only one of which you can access due to the position of the height adjuster blocking access to the other.

I dont want to take the arm rest off unless I have to, as I have read in other posts that the nut inside te seat can easily be lost when this is done. Any ideas on how I can get the covers off without removing the whole thing and losing the nut to the dark side?

Hi all,Ben remove the plastic cover and the arm can be removed by undoing the tock srew.Take the arm off the seat, and then tap out the collar which goes right through. Then go to the height adjuster get a large screwdriver and tap it off towards the front it will come off its on a spine.you can then get at all the screws .The tatty cover will come off, then put on the new cover and reassemble. Just changed both arms on mine took me ages to sus it out. hope that helps Colinjohn

I have removed the arm rests from the sides of the seats but ca't get the height adjuster removed to access the screw beneath. Also, I have tapped the collar but it doesnt seem to budge, I wonder if I have a different model :D

not a good idea to put a phone number in an open forum.

I managed to tap out the height adjuster screw, its the collar that connects the arm rest to the seat that I'm struggling to remove. I'll give it another go tomorrow with extra aggression.

The arm rest collar wont come free unless you release the O ring under the fabric, then it will tap out quite easily. Fitted the new covers, went to put it all back together and a nut fell out of the arm. It seems that this is what was connected to the height adjustment bar inside :( Unless I can get this back into the correct position, the arm wont be stable.

With the arm rest appearing to be a single unit that I'm unable to take appart, I think it is now going to be a trip to my local dealer for two new arm rests. Wish I hadn't bothered now, the joys of DIY eh.
